On October 16, Yuanbao officially announced the launch of its "AI Skin Change" feature. This functionality allows users to change the background of the Yuanbao chat interface with a single click, customizing their unique Yuanbao image. The company has provided three typical usage scenarios. Pet lovers can upload photos of their furry friends to experience cloud cat adoption, setting their pets' photos as the Yuanbao background, allowing them to see their beloved animals each time they open a conversation. Nature enthusiasts can choose from scenic images such as grasslands and beaches, which the company states will not only beautify the interface but also provide visual comfort. Meme enthusiasts can upload various images, with the company describing it as capturing the essence of abstraction in just 0 seconds, transforming the chat interface into an extension of personalized expression.
The usage method is quite straightforward. Users need to upgrade their Yuanbao PC client to version V2.86 or higher, click on "More" in the interface, select "AI Skin Change," and upload an image to complete the background change. The launch of the "AI Skin Change" feature continues Yuanbao's ongoing iteration of its image editing capabilities. Previously, Yuanbao had introduced AI image editing capabilities, allowing users to perform operations such as photo editing, background changes, adding lighting effects, and generating stylized images with just a sentence input. This feature is available simultaneously on Yuanbao's mobile, desktop, and web versions.
Yuanbao's "AI Skin Change" Feature Enhances User Personalization Experience
Both the Hunyuan and DeepSeek models within Yuanbao have supported this feature, available for free to all users. On September 22, Tencent Hunyuan released the preview version of Hunyuan Image 3.5, which Yuanbao fully opened up simultaneously. This version underwent systematic upgrades focusing on "from intent understanding to visual expression," enhancing dimensions such as text rendering and layout, realism and stylization, and editing consistency. During the grayscale testing period, the overall request volume for Yuanbao's raw images increased by over 50%, with a 100% increase in request volume in scenarios such as portrait retouching. The launch of the "AI Skin Change" feature further lowers the threshold for users to customize their interfaces.
