Tesla has begun rolling out an update called "Halloween Mode" featuring some spooky and fun functions. The company said: "This update turns your Tesla into a mobile haunted house." This update is the latest in a series of seasonal updates Tesla typically releases. Spring and summer updates offered some interesting novelties while also including some practically useful features for the user experience. This update, by contrast, appears more focused on fun, with no changes to the Full Self-Driving system or overall operation.

Instead, these novelty features are designed to let you feel the autumn and Halloween atmosphere.

Fun Features Overview

"Halloween Mode" is now rolling out. This update turns your Tesla into a mobile haunted house, with features including: adding ghostly costumes to the vehicle's avatar; enabling "Trick or Treat" mode, which plays spooky sounds and flashes lights when visitors approach; a new ghostly light show, wrap options, and lock sounds; a rather spooky selfie booth; and the ability to remotely scare passersby with your own voice via the app — the vehicle will repeat what you say in its own voice. These features may also make you famous in your neighborhood.

The newly added vehicle avatar feature displays your vehicle as a ghost draped in a white sheet. Pedestrians turn into mummies or skeletons, while other vehicles appear in an eerie green. Tesla's parking lot scene now shows this ghostly costume hanging in front of your vehicle, with a spooky background featuring jack-o'-lanterns and a haunted house.

Halloween Special Effects

"Trick or Treat" mode will cause the vehicle to play spooky sounds and flash lights when visitors approach. This will be a nice touch for when you're handing out candy on Halloween night. In addition to the above features, Tesla has added a new light show, new wrap options, and new lock sounds in this update. The selfie booth also gains Halloween options. You can also remotely project your voice through the app to people outside — this isn't a new feature, but the vehicle repeating it in its own voice is a new highlight of this update.

How Tesla Uses Holidays to Enhance User Engagement

Tesla's "Halloween Mode" not only demonstrates its innovation capability but also underscores the emotional connection between the brand and users. Through fun features, Tesla lets owners stand out in their communities, enhancing social interaction. Such updates not only attract existing owners but may also draw the attention of potential customers, further boosting brand image and market competitiveness. As technology advances, vehicles are no longer mere transportation tools but life companions capable of delivering unique experiences.
