RayNeo Thunderbird iO AI Glasses: Detailed Privacy Mechanisms Explained: Original Audio Locally Anonymized, Encrypted Transmission

Thunderbird Innovation recently addressed several concerns about the RayNeo Thunderbird iO AI glasses. The company stated that the RayNeo iO is positioned as an AI glasses device designed for everyday, long-term wear, weighing just 34 grams, with a design and wearing experience similar to regular optical glasses. The product is designed to be an always-on AI assistant, allowing users to ask questions to AI at any time, view important information by looking up, and supports all-day intelligent recording, real-time translation in 55 languages, AI prompting, message reminders, to-do lists, and stock information display.

Differences in Positioning Between RayNeo iO and RayNeo V4

Unlike the RayNeo iO, the RayNeo V4 is more focused on first-person perspective shooting, with its core functions being photography and video recording to capture what the user sees. The RayNeo iO, on the other hand, removes the camera and speaker, placing greater emphasis on privacy, lightweight design, and all-day wearing comfort, and focuses on near-eye text display combined with AI recording and assistance functions.

Privacy Protection Mechanisms Cover Hardware and Data Layers

In response to users' concerns about the privacy risks of all-day intelligent recording, Thunderbird Innovation stated that the RayNeo iO has a comprehensive privacy protection mechanism from hardware to data layers. When the recording function is turned on, the hardware indicator light on the temple will light up simultaneously; the original audio will undergo local anonymization processing, retaining only the text, and data transmission uses AES-256 financial-grade encryption. Additionally, Thunderbird Innovation has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 international information security management system certifications, ensuring that the product complies with local regulations in most regions around the world.

In terms of data management permissions, users can export, migrate, or delete historical data at any time. The device is bound to the account, so even if the glasses are lost, others cannot directly read personal content, and internal engineers cannot directly access user personal data either.

Optical Structure Optimized for Light Leakage Performance

In terms of optical design, the RayNeo iO uses Blue Lake waveguide technology and a three-layer optical structure, with special optimization for the light leakage issue. At a normal social distance, others basically cannot see the specific display content on the lenses; only from a very close, specific side angle, a small amount of faint light may be visible.
