On October 10, RayNeo's official Weibo announced that recently, the RayNeo iO AI glasses were presented as a diplomatic gift from the Chinese Embassy in Madagascar to Madagascar Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, Senior Reconstruction Advisor Thierry Hervé, and other guests, and a special first experience was completed on site.
The RayNeo iO is a "human-augmenting AI glasses" released by RayNeo on August 21, 2026. The name iO derives from I/O in computer language — Input & Output — representing RayNeo's understanding of human-computer interaction in the AI era. As an all-day wearable AI glasses, the RayNeo iO integrates seamless display and always-on active AI into a conventional glasses form factor, weighing only 34 grams, and offers prescription solutions for 0 to 1000 diopters of myopia.
RayNeo iO AI Glasses Feature Advanced Optical Display Technology
In terms of optical display, the RayNeo iO is equipped with the new Blue Lake optical waveguide, employing a three-layer optical structure and multi-layer micro-nano patterns. The OC region transmittance reaches 93%, while non-display areas exceed 98%, making the display area nearly invisible even in complex lighting environments. Its color difference index is controlled at Delta E 2.52, making it the only AI glasses product in the industry that currently meets the EU EN ISO 12312-1 daily lens safety standard.
On the foundational capabilities front, the RayNeo iO uses open-source large models as its capability base, initially supporting DeepSeek V4 Pro and Qwen 3.7 Max, with subsequent integration of Kimi K3 and RayNeo's self-developed RayNeo AI large model. For translation, the RayNeo iO is equipped with four array microphones and one bone-conduction microphone, powered by technology partner Timekettle's BabelOS 3.0 intelligent translation engine, covering 55 languages and 109 accents globally.
