On September 10th, the official Weibo account of @OpenClaw announced the official release of OpenClaw 2026.9.3. The company stated that the focus of this update is not on adding numerous features, but rather on making the Agent more stable and easier to resume in practical work. Specifically, this update has made several improvements centered around workflow continuity and recoverability. Updates can be resumed after failure, session reconnection is faster, browser automation can be viewed in real-time, chat functions can generate revocable read-only share links, and meeting transcriptions can be directly searched.
These changes mean that when users use the Agent to perform tasks, even if they encounter interruptions during updates or disconnected sessions, they can return to their previous work state faster, reducing efficiency losses caused by unexpected interruptions.

In addition, there are several practical changes: Skills learned in the Skill Workshop can now be retained across workspaces with the Agent; Mac native browser tabs will not disappear after conversations; and in the model settings, accounts and priorities of different providers can be managed separately. For users who need to frequently switch workspaces or manage multiple model accounts, these improvements can reduce the hassle of repeated configurations.
The scale of this update is quite substantial, including 1844 PRs, 40 direct submissions, and 190 contributors. The OpenClaw team reminds users to pay attention to environment requirements before upgrading: a minimum of Node 24.16.0 or Node 26.1.0 is required, with the official recommendation being to use Node 26. The upgrade sequence is to first upgrade Node, then upgrade OpenClaw, to avoid update failures due to environment incompatibility.
CNMO Technology understands that OpenClaw is an open-source tool for AI agents, supporting access to AI coding agents from any chat interface, and providing a self-hosted gateway.
