Lenovo has unveiled its latest tablet device, the Legion Y700 AI, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which previously scored 4,585,844 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform. Designed with gaming in mind, the device features a centrally symmetrical chip layout and a large 15,000mm² heat dissipation plate to keep heat away from the user's grip areas. The tablet supports 5G dual-SIM functionality and is equipped with Wi-Fi 7 dual-band and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The Legion Y700 AI is equipped with an 8.4-inch OLED panel featuring a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 12-bit color depth, and Dolby Vision support. The display offers a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. Compared to its predecessor, the device has a more compact form factor, weighing less than 300 grams and measuring just 6.5 millimeters in thickness, making it easy to carry and use for extended periods. The tablet is available in three color options: Ice White, Cloud Purple, and Cloud Tide Purple.

Dual USB-C Port Design Allows Simultaneous Charging and Video Output

The tablet features dual USB-C ports, each serving different functions. The port on the long edge is USB 3.2 Gen 2 compliant, supporting DisplayPort for connecting to external displays; the other is a USB 2.0 port. Even though the device lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, the dual USB-C design enables users to charge the device while using wired headphones. The tablet includes stereo speakers and features an RGB LED light ring called Legion Halo, which changes colors based on the device's status.

The Legion Y700 AI utilizes a dual-battery design with a total capacity of 7,470mAh and supports 68W wired fast charging. The processor is paired with LPDDR5T RAM, offering data transfer speeds of up to 10,667Mbps, and UFS 4.1 Pro storage chips. The device is available in three configurations: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 24GB/1TB, all supporting 5G connectivity. For storage expansion, there is a microSD slot that supports memory cards up to 2TB.

The Legion Y700 AI is currently only available in the Chinese market and can be purchased through Lenovo's official online store. The base model with 12GB/256GB costs RMB¥5,500 (approximately HK$5,995), the 16GB/512GB version is priced at RMB¥6,500 (approximately HK$7,085), and the top-tier 24GB/1TB model is priced at RMB¥8,000 (approximately HK$8,720). The manufacturer offers a RMB¥1,000 (approximately HK$1,090) discount for the 256GB and 512GB models, bringing the actual selling price of the base model down to RMB¥4,500 (approximately HK$4,905).
