Google has officially announced the release of its latest Gemini 3.8 models, offering next-generation intelligent solutions for smart workflows and cybersecurity. According to the Senior Director of Product Management at Google DeepMind, this release marks the third Flash version update since the 3.7 Flash was launched three weeks ago, with Gemini 3.8 being the most capable reasoning and coding model to date, while maintaining the same speed and low cost as the 3.7 version.

Gemini 3.8 comes in two variants, with Gemini 3.8 Flash described as "our smartest work model," showing significant improvements over the 3.7 Flash in multi-step reasoning for software engineering, agent tasks, and professional domains. Its pricing remains the same as the 3.7 Flash, at $0.75 per million input tokens (approximately HK$5.85) and $3.75 per million output tokens (approximately HK$29.25).

It achieved a 54.9% performance in the HLE-Verified test, showcasing its multi-step reasoning capabilities in STEM, humanities, and professional fields.
Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber Focused on Cybersecurity
The other model, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, is the most powerful for cybersecurity, featuring cutting-edge performance in vulnerability detection and automated patching, and is being made available through the new Fairwind program to trusted defenders. The model demonstrated cutting-edge performance in autonomously discovering vulnerabilities in CyberGym's industry benchmarks, surpassing the 3.5 Flash Cyber and other large frontier models.
