On September 16, Doubao Work received a new round of updates centered on model upgrades and team tool collaboration. The Doubao 2.1 Pro model has completed a minor version (0915 new version) upgrade and has been integrated into Doubao Work; meanwhile, the new "Doubao Work Companion" is now available on Feishu, where it can participate in team collaboration in scenarios such as group chats, documents and meetings.
Doubao 2.1 Pro model upgrade boosts team collaboration efficiency
According to the introduction, the Doubao 2.1 Pro update focuses primarily on productivity and office scenarios, strengthening its ability to verify information sources, timeliness and accuracy, and improving stability on complex long-horizon tasks. The model can autonomously dispatch more than 500 sub-agents, retrieve more than 1,000 web pages and cross-check the data; when handling hundreds of pages of English financial reports, it can also produce due diligence reports after verification, with conclusions traceable to specific evidence.
In terms of programming and multimodal capabilities, the model can read complex code repositories, and in the open-source game project Luanti, it dispatched multiple sub-agents to work in parallel and resolved about 83% of issues within 36 hours, meeting the standards for merging. For real-world business scenarios, the model can also develop mobile pages for a legacy ERP system of 280,000 lines based on screen recordings and sketches, turning design mockups into runnable code. In addition, the model has also been improved in 3D generation and image-text processing.
According to disclosed information, the model can reconstruct a courtyard scene structure in stages from just four design drawings, converting static design images into an interactive, dynamic 3D scene. On the collaboration front, the new Doubao Work Companion has been integrated with Feishu, giving it an independent identity and memory capabilities, allowing it to assist team work in Feishu chats, documents, meetings and related business systems. The feature supports team members in initiating tasks via @, and within authorized scope it can advance collaboration across scenarios while accumulating team knowledge and experience.
The official statement noted that the new Doubao Work Companion is still in an early preview stage, and more enterprise customers will be gradually invited on a targeted basis to participate in co-creation going forward.
