Doubao officially announced that Doubao Work has launched new features to help users switch seamlessly between AI tools. This update includes data import and sync, conversation summary sidebar, message annotations, and continue in new conversation, among other functions. The features are now live, and users only need to update to the latest version to experience them.
Doubao Work Rolls Out Multiple New Features to Enhance User Experience
Doubao Work now supports one-click import, allowing users to migrate task preference instructions, skills, connectors, work memory, projects, and historical conversations from products such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Trae Work to continue using them in Doubao Work. Imported content will be automatically filed into corresponding entry points or lists, and historical conversations will retain their original context, enabling users to continue conversations directly in Doubao Work without reconfiguring or re-explaining background. Note that import scope is limited to locally stored content; cloud content does not support import or sync. The conversation summary sidebar feature lets users centrally view task progress and existing results. Users simply click the "Conversation Summary" entry on the right to quickly understand ongoing tasks, conversation artifacts, skills, and connectors, reducing time spent scrolling back and forth through chat history. The message annotation feature allows users to select a portion of content in Doubao's response, click "Annotate" to write supplementary explanations or questions, and the original text with annotations will be automatically brought into the input box. It also supports sending multiple content sections together, eliminating the need to copy and paste when following up. If users wish to try an alternative approach or switch models for testing based on an existing discussion, they can select "Continue in New Conversation" on the corresponding message. Existing context will be automatically carried into the new conversation, while the original conversation is also retained for easy review at any time. The operation method is to click the avatar in the lower left corner to enter "Settings," then click "Data Import and Sync." The interface illustration shows that tools and settings (skills, connectors, memory) as well as projects and sessions (projects, chat sessions) can be imported from Trae Work.Imported data will be automatically synced to the cloud. The official note states that specific supported sources and importable content are subject to the actual display in the client.
