The distinction between "Doubao Work" and the regular Doubao application needs to be clarified first. It is understood that "Doubao Work" is an Agent-type AI product launched by ByteDance aimed at productivity scenarios, focusing on upgrading capabilities from "content generation" to "task completion." It can autonomously break down tasks, invoke tools, and advance complex workflows based on user objectives. The product is deeply integrated with Feishu, allowing users to log in with their Feishu accounts, fully inheriting enterprise knowledge and work context within the scope of permissions, and can access chat records, documents, meeting minutes, schedules, and other information to understand objectives and deliver work.

The HarmonyOS computer version launched this time is equipped with the Doubao 2.1 Turbo and 2.1 Pro dual models, supporting seamless switching between conversation mode and work mode. It covers core office scenarios such as in-depth research, PPT generation, document writing, spreadsheet data processing, image generation, and cloud data management, catering to various needs in daily office work, academic research, and creative design. In work mode, the product supports long-chain Agent task execution, capable of autonomously breaking down multi-step requirements and dynamically adjusting execution paths.
The launch of "Doubao Work" comes at an important moment for the HarmonyOS computer application ecosystem. On November 5, Huawei officially disclosed that the number of applications available in the HarmonyOS computer application market has exceeded 21,000, covering eight major categories including general office, AI, education and learning, and design creation. Among these, the AI category includes nine intelligent agents and AI assistants such as Doubao, WorkBuddy, Qianwen Office, Wenxin, Xunfei Xinghuo, Zhipu Qingyan, and Xiaoyi.
