Alibaba Cloud Launches New Qoder Intelligent Agent Workbench to Lower Development Barriers with Natural Language

On August 27, Alibaba Cloud officially launched the new Qoder, an intelligent agent workbench centered around coding and open to everyone. Users do not need to start by writing code; they can simply describe their goals in natural language, and Qoder will call upon coding and related tools to complete tasks such as development, prototyping, and data processing.

The new Qoder features a more streamlined, task-oriented user interface. Its core logic is that users do not need to master programming details; they only need to express their goals in natural language, and Qoder will autonomously plan and utilize the appropriate coding and tool capabilities to deliver results. This design significantly lowers the technical barriers to software development, whether professional developers want to speed up their coding process or non-technical personnel need to quickly complete prototyping or data processing. All can directly obtain usable results through natural language interaction.

Built-in Multiple Cutting-Edge Models and Supports Auto Intelligent Scheduling

The new Qoder comes with multiple cutting-edge models built-in, including Qwen3.8-Max, and offers an Auto intelligent scheduling function that can automatically match the appropriate model based on task characteristics in terms of effect, speed, and cost. For different task scenarios and users, Qoder offers two modes: programming mode and general mode. Programming mode is more suitable for developers and code-related work; general mode is for a wider range of users and scenarios, where users do not need to directly handle code but can still leverage coding and tool capabilities to complete tasks.

Qoder also supports more than 40 connectors, over 70 plugins, and more than 20,000 skills. Through this open ecosystem, users can integrate systems such as code repositories, project management, cloud services, and internal tools into the AI workflow, enabling intelligent agents to execute tasks based on real project backgrounds.

Product Matrix Takes Shape with User Base Surpassing 6 Million

Currently, the Qoder product family includes the new Qoder, Qoder IDE, Qoder CLI, Qoder JetBrains plugin, Qoder mobile, digital employee product QoderWake, and Qoder Cloud Agents. Since its global launch in August 2025, Qoder has served over 6 million users and more than 100,000 enterprise customers worldwide.
